One of my favorite rooms....this mom created a special space for her young son by having me paint his room in bright blues and lime green. She later added the ocean scene appliques.
Some areas are just hard to get to. This area high over an area of irregular flooring presented a special accessibility challenge.
When a client wanted her wallpaper removed and replaced with something that looked like wallpaper, but wasn't, I created this special effect using two paints of the same color, but different sheens.
Even a windowless and otherwise featureless bathroom can be made interesting with the right color selection. This is one of my favorites.
Here is a brief look at commercial spaces. This client was an artist and had a special nook for his sculpture.
This waiting area is simple but pleasant. The teal accent wall makes the wall art stand out and creates a feeling of serenity.
Two-tone blue office. Rich accent wall adds life.
Conference room is functional but pleasant. Special high-durablility paint helps maintain a clean, business-like look.
. You've come this far, so here are shots from my trip to a Mayan village in Guatemala in Nov, 2007. Here we are in a group meeting with our hosts.
The children were amazing. They loved having their pictures taken.
My host, Lucia. We stayed in the homes of our hosts, living with them and doing what they did for a week.
Lucia's extended family. These were amazingly resilient people, getting by as subsistence farmers and hand-weaving fabrics and clothing for extra income.
